Assisted Purchase Scheme

The Assisted Purchase Scheme is a tax-efficient way of purchasing a new musical instrument through your school. Instead of buying the instrument directly at the full retail price (including VAT), the instrument is purchased by the school at the ex-VAT price. The parent then acquires the instrument from the school under the agreed arrangement.
This structure allows families to benefit from the VAT saving where applicable. This scheme applies only to NEW musical instruments.

How It Works

1.    Select your new instrument: Choose a new musical instrument that qualifies under the scheme.
2.    School purchase: The school purchases the new instrument from the supplier at the ex-VAT price.
3.    Parent agreement: The parent enters into an agreement with the school to acquire the instrument.
4.    Instrument supplied to student: The student receives the instrument to use immediately.
5.    Payments arranged with the school: The parent makes payments to the school under the agreed terms.
